Pff, they already looked like that.
First off, OUCH!!!!
Second, Hey... that's actually pretty damn cool!
Thanks, I am so thrilled with them! And Russ did an ace job!
I heard of it before, but never actually seen it.
Doesn't look to bad for right after the mod.
Looking forward to pics after the healing.
I'm the third person who my friend Russ has modified in such a way.
The healing has gone exceptionally well. Botyh Russ and I are very pleased and excited to take more pictures once the stitches come out in a few more days! :oD
I've been thinking about it for over 5 years now, seriously researching artists for three years and after moving to Vancouver, met and became friends with one of them LOL! Now voila! No more prosthetic ears for me anymore!
Oh yes *ahem* you have a new voice mail! :oP
hey, you always has faerie ears, but now you'll have even sexier faerie ears ^.~ ::huggles:: they look great doll, love them
*hugs you purple*
I am can not wait to see them once I get the stitches out!! :oD
As a natural redhead I have a higher pain tolerance (it's true! Weird mutant gene and all) and Russ froze my ears in three different places before going starting the cuts. However sleeping has been a bit of a task and I need to keep my hair away from them for sanitary and pain reasons.
I also have a best friend who is a certified herbalist. I have had great supplements, homeopathic and natural anti-inflammatory... I've barely touched my Ibrouphen. When Russ was over today he even said "I can't believe they're not even red." They are healing oh so very well! :oD
That looks very painful. Very unique though. Be sure to post some pics when they are all healed.
Oh you can bet I will be posting more! :oD
Although the points I'd want would be much longer. I must wait until I can get a source of income that does not depend on looking "normal" and until they can do the points properly (for me).
My employers love what I've done LOL! Also if I ever enter the public school system I can style my hair so that they are not shown.
Extensions crossed my mind, but in the end when this is healed, this iss till all my own body, nothing foreign being added. This is also more natural looking as well! :oD
so. incredibly. you.
and gorgeous, too,
much like yourself.
I can't wait to see them healed!
I hope you'll be able to see them in person. It has been ~almost~ a year since last we hung out together! This needs to be remedied, my dear!
Oh and they look beautieful. Be sure to post pics when they are healed.
And yes, I'd also want plastic surgery to make my face much longer and thiner. I'd end up looking pretty dam freakish and probably very ugly by human standards, but I'd look right. LOL
Of course I'll be posting pics once I get the stitches out and once they are healed as well!
I think it would look beautiful, personally... and if it what would feel right to you, that is all that would matter anyway! =D
I'd love to see when they're all healed up.
Why thank you m'dear!
More pictures will follow in the coming weeks I assure you! *squees*
That's really awesome. I look forward to seeing what they look like when they finish healing.
Thank you kindly!
I too am so excited to see them fully healed!
Now all I have to do is grow my beard and saw down my legs a bit and you and I can hit up the convention circuit as Ghimli and Galadriel (Spelling?)
Hahahahaha! Or I can get stilts and that could work too... ;oP
awesome hon.. i cant wait to see it healed!x
Thank you sweetheart, you rock! :oD
I didn't know that was possible, wow. It suits you, lol (but it looks painful!)
Us natural copper-tops have a higher pain tolerance... and it is totally worth it either way!! :oD
did you get general anesteshia (spelling horrifically for that word.. sorry) or anything to help for the pain when they sliced your ears? owww..!!! it looks awesome as hell though!! i can't wait to see what it's going to look like once it's all healed up, but dayummmmmnnnn girl, i bet that hurts like hell!
is your friend a piercer or a doctor that did it? looking forward to reading about the whole experience :)
I got three a total of 6 needles between my two ears which froze me up, however I could still feel what eh was doing. While being stitched up the vibrations traveled into my ear and tickled my eardrum.. it was hard not to giggle and squirm LOL!
My friend Russ Foox is a professional body modification artist, piercer and suspensionist... and he so happens to be going to school to become a surgeon one of these days! He did an ace job and I love that this is helping my friend with his portfolio!
Thank you Wookie! *squishes you blue and purple*
I misses the yous!
How'd it feel!? That is cool!
The whole experience was simply incredible. The few times I have modified my body (piercings and this) have been very deep, spiritual experiences for me. I come away feeling a whole tidal wave of feelings: impowerment, euphoric, ecstasy, bliss, strength...
Glad you like it! :oD
gotta hand it to you, that certainly takes more cojones than i've got
LOL! I'm so happy with them, Mitka!

Not critical, but an honest question.
Not critical, but an honest question.
Is the procedure reversible if you decide at some point in your life you'd like to go back to standard shaped ears?

Re: Not critical, but an honest question.
I could either round them out surgically again, or get curved extensions put in. However, I know that is something I won't be doing, m'dear. :oD
I didn't know that could be done and ouch.
It sure can and I frickin' LOVE IT!
it looks like it hurt a lot! but it's definately something i might be interested in doing one day. did it bleed much? did it hurt badly after you got them done?
PS- i saw you on we_are_fae. And any one who would do this is obviously totally amazing. do you mind if i add you? :]
Of course you can add me, sweetheart!
The surgery was pretty crazy, but such an incredible experience. Body modification goes so far back into our history. It goes beyond just changing one's appearance, but it is a journey in healing and physical endurance... one I was so glad to go through!
I've been meaning to post some of these to the community as well... I'll get around to it one of these days I swear!
